This month in our QCA Bee 2, Laura wants a Starburst block in charcoal, black and white prints, jade green and purple.
I have to say that this wasn't the easiest block to make. They did come together quite quickly though.
These blocks were made with a tutorial by Film In The Fridge and you can find it right here.

Progress!
Would you believe me if I told you that I worked on the scrappy improv block quilt today? I decided this morning that those blocks have been languishing in the WIP basket for far too long so I pulled them out and turned them into a quilt top.
I'm so glad I did.
Just the two side borders to go and it's finished.

Sunday Stash # 22
I thought that I might of been able to make today's post about the fabrics that I got from my sister but unfortunately, due to Master 3 being sick this weekend, that just couldn't happen. He is on the mend today though, which is great news.
However, I do have a few little additions to share this week. Thanks to my ever generous Mum, I am now the proud owner of this Architextures charm pack and charm pack of co-ordinating Kona solids. Eeek! I have had my eye on Architextures since it was released but I'm on a serious self imposed buying ban at the moment.
Apologies for the terrible phone pics.
Love them. Thanks Mum x

Sunday Stash # 21
With low volume quilts on my mind, I picked up this Noteworthy charm pack on sale from Fabric Buzz. It's no secret that I love Sweetwater fabrics and I have had my eye on this collection for awhile.
I have another gift to make this week so I stopped by my local quilt shop and picked up a few 15cm cuts of these. I will be able to show you the project later on in the week.
My sister is doing a bit of downsizing and cleaning out at her place and asked me if I would like to go through and take some of her fabrics. Um, let me think, YES! I haven't had a chance to unpack all my goodies yet but I'm thinking that they may be the stars of next weeks Sunday Stash.

Lazy Saturday
Making a fabric covered baby wipes container for a gift. I love Prints Charming fabrics and this one is so beautifully soft.
I managed to do a bit of fabric shopping at my local quilt shop this morning, and had a parcel delivery this week, so come back tomorrow for Sunday Stash.

Low Volume
Last night I started cutting into my low volume fabric stash. I am planning to eventually make myself a queen size bed quilt with 5" squares. Because I have this quilt planned, it makes it hard for me to use any of my stash for anything else because I want to make sure I have enough for my quilt.
This week I received my charms back from the Low Volume Charm Swap I participated in so I thought that I may as well start cutting what I needed from my own stash.
So far I have just cut 5" strips and will probably cut them into charms later down the track. This quilt is a way down my "to do" list yet but now I know exactly what I have left in low volume fabrics and I'm now free to use them in other projects.
Have you made, or do you plan to make, a low volume quilt?
