Sunday Stash # 24

There have been some major additions to my stash in the last few months. Sadly, this is because my local quilt shop, Finchs Nest, is closing down. The only good part about this is that the entire store is 50% off. Following are just SOME of the purchases I have made.

Sunday Stash # 23

I haven't added much to the old stash lately but I recently picked up a few things that were on sale.

Some Anna Maria Horner Field Study fabric from Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilts. You can find her Etsy store here. She sells some gorgeous Japanese fabrics.

Some Super Hero fabric from The Fabric Jungle for Master 3.

I won this 'Shades Of Gray' bundle from Sewing By Moonlight. Love the bird fabric.

Sunday Stash # 22

I thought that I might of been able to make today's post about the fabrics that I got from my sister but unfortunately, due to Master 3 being sick this weekend, that just couldn't happen. He is on the mend today though, which is great news.

However, I do have a few little additions to share this week. Thanks to my ever generous Mum, I am now the proud owner of this Architextures charm pack and charm pack of co-ordinating Kona solids. Eeek! I have had my eye on Architextures since it was released but I'm on a serious self imposed buying ban at the moment.

Apologies for the terrible phone pics.

Love them. Thanks Mum x

Sunday Stash # 21

With low volume quilts on my mind, I picked up this Noteworthy charm pack on sale from Fabric Buzz. It's no secret that I love Sweetwater fabrics and I have had my eye on this collection for awhile.

I have another gift to make this week so I stopped by my local quilt shop and picked up a few 15cm cuts of these. I will be able to show you the project later on in the week.

My sister is doing a bit of downsizing and cleaning out at her place and asked me if I would like to go through and take some of her fabrics. Um, let me think, YES! I haven't had a chance to unpack all my goodies yet but I'm thinking that they may be the stars of next weeks Sunday Stash.

Sunday Stash # 20

Last week a few of you commented to say what a great mum I have after she bought me the Tula Pink book that I had been coveting.

Well this week she came over for dinner and said "Here, I got you this. I got myself a copy too".

I didn't even have my eye on this one. So blessed. Thanks Mum x

Sunday Stash # 17

Some new additions to the ever growing stash.

A stack of solids and this black text fabric to go with my Field Study charm pack. One of the wonderful ladies in the Quilt Club Australia group was kind enough to purchase and send me some of the text fabric when my local Spotlight had run out of it.

This is what I have in mind for it.

These two low volume prints were purchased and cut up into charm squares to be sent off to a Low Volume Charm Swap I am participating in.

Some How The Grinch Stole Christmas fabric that was on sale at Spotlight for $3.00 a metre. Couldn't leave it there. Especially since I have a fat quarter bundle of this collection and I love anything Seuss.

Sunday Stash # 16

Here are a few things I picked up in the last week.

More spots, out on clearance at Spotlight.

I couldn't resist this sweet Three Little Pigs print, also on clearance at Spotlight. I can see this in a baby girl quilt.

These are backing and binding fabrics for something I'm working on at the moment. The backing was half price at my local quilt shop, Finch's Nest.

After my last post, here is a pic of my gorgeous little cousin Nathaniel enjoying his new quilt :)

Sunday Stash # 15

A few weeks ago I picked up these gorgeous inspirational word prints from Spotlight. I went in there to get this spot print cotton/linen blend for a quilt I'm planning to make this month.

Then a few days ago, I went in to look for some fabric for a quilt back and binding and came out with these. The blue spotty fabric is the backing, at $6.00 per metre it only cost me $7.20.

These spots were $4.00 per metre so I got a metre of each. You can never go wrong with spots in the stash.

I may or may not have purchased this fabric to go with a Union Jack block that I am currently in the process of making from a tutorial. The ever gorgeous Molli Sparkles has made up a tutorial for an anatomically correct, non paper pieced Union Jack block and I gladly put my hand up to test the tutorial before it's released on the quilting world. Stay tuned.
