I finished all the blocks for the Ballerinas & Bugs quilt tonight.

Ballerinas & Bugs Quilt Progress
Today I started cutting up the fabrics for my cousins daughters quilt, which I have called Ballerinas & Bugs.
I was keen to start sewing tonight but after all that cutting and then more work in the backyard, I am going to curl up in bed and watch Beaconsfield instead. Hopefully I can make a start tomorrow.

Not Much Sewing Going On Here
I have done hardly any sewing this week. I think I lost my sewjo. Either that or I have just been too tired. Or it could be the fact that Season 2 of Game Of Thrones started a few weeks back and I have been on the couch with popcorn watching that at night. I did manage to make one quilt block (for my scrappy improv block quilt), but I just wasn't feeling it so I stopped at one.
Anyway, apart from no sewing, I have had a productive week.

Yesterday morning I had an email from my cousin Renae, asking me if I would please make a quilt for her daughter's birthday which is in a month. Of course! It appears that this is just what I needed to get me sewing again, a new project! Miss T is very girly and does dancing so I came up with this fabric selection....

Feeling Groovy Quilt
I'm continuing to make quilts using what I have in my stash. I had a 6.5" square pack of Riley Blake's Feeling Groovy flannel so I used that to make up the top. I then ordered co-ordinating prints for the back and binding.
I love the bright colours and the fun prints in this range. This is top quality flannel too, I have never felt flannel so soft!
Machine quilted on either side of the seams and the binding was also machine stitched.
This quilt measures approximately 30 x 35.5" (77 x 91cm) and is available for sale via my Facebook page.

The Amy Quilt
This lovely quilt went to it's new home yesterday. Well, sort of, a very good friend of mine purchased it for her Mum for Mothers Day. So it's yet to make it to it's new owner, but I'm very confident that it will be loved.
Unfortunately I can't take all the credit for this one. The only thing I did was piece the top. My intention was to get it finished for the Lavender Farm Craft Fair last week but because I do all my pinning and quilting at my Mum's house, and I can only do this on weekends, I pretty much ran out of time. So my wonderful Mum ended up doing it for me, and she even hand stitched the binding! Thanks Mum!
The Amy quilt started out as leftover 5.5" squares from a couple of quilts my Mum had made, one of them being mine. I had the perfect amount to make this lap quilt, which ended up being approximately 45" x 55" (113cm x 138cm). The fabrics are by Amy Butler, mostly from her Love range.
I love this quilt so much. It was very hard to part with it. But I think I will just make myself one very similar, but bigger.

A Few More Market Photos
When I was downloading some other photos off my camera today, I realised that I missed a few from the Lavender Farm Craft Fair the other day.
My Mum completed the Amy Butler quilt for me (thanks Mum!) in time for the market. Unfortunately it didn't sell. She will be gifting it to a friend of hers who is expecting a baby, if it doesn't sell before she get's back from Melbourne. So tomorrow I will be taking some photos and putting it up for sale for a week. We shall see what happens....

My Son Is So Funny
I just had to share this funny thing that my son did yesterday.
I was unpacking from Monday's market and I was laying my quilts out flat on my bed, as I don't like folding them up. When I unloaded the car last night I had laid them over my dining table. I was walking back and forward from the dining area and laying them out one by one on my bed. Master 2 started following me, and when I had done the last one, I heard him say "And my Dr Seuss quilt". I walked into the bedroom to see this....

Lavender Valley Farm Craft Fair
I have been so busy lately, with Easter and preparing for yesterday's annual Craft Fair at the Lavender Valley Farm. I shared a stall with Dodie from Frank and Mouse. It was a lovely, but warm day and lots of people made the trip out.

My most popular item was my guinea pig, and he wasn't for sale! My Mum purchased him on Etsy for me. He is now all sticky on top from all the kids patting him with sticky lollipop fingers :)
This was my most successful market stall yet. I sold a quilt, two burp cloth sets, a wipes container and two large crayon rolls. I'm very happy.
Now I'm off to unpack my things....
