Ballerinas & Bugs: A Finished Quilt

It's finished. The quilt for my cousin's daughter who turned 6 yesterday. The biggest quilt I have made to date.

Mum did all of the quilting while I helped wrangle the bulk through the machine. Thanks Mum x

As I mentioned in previous posts, I used the 1 + 2 = Easy Quilt Pattern Tutorial by Samelia's Mum but I used yardage cut into 10" squares instead of a layer cake.

I used a 2.4m wide fabric from my local quilt shop on the back.

This binding fabric was a remnant piece I got from Spotlight ages ago. Matched perfectly.

I took it over to my cousin yesterday and put it on Miss T's bed ready for when she got home from school. I got a message last night saying that she loves it.

I'm linking up with Laura from Quokka Quilts for TGIFF.
