Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day

Today is Visit Your Local Quilt Shop Day! I didn't even need this as an excuse to go in there today, I actually had to go in for some binding fabric.

My local quilt shop is Finch's Nest Quilt Shop and it's in Geraldton, Western Australia.

To say I love this place would be an understatement. I am often found in here, just aimlessly wandering amongst the bolts.

Amy Butler fabrics

Kaffe Fassett fabrics

Flea Market Fancy Legacy

There are thousands of bolts of fabric, quilt kits, classes, thread, patterns and all kinds of quilting supplies.

Wide quilt back fabric

Flannel and just some of the kit quilts

You can even find some precious fabrics hiding amongst the bolts, like Lightning Bugs & Other Mysteries by Heather Ross. I nearly had a heart attack from excitement when I discovered it a while back.

Quilts in the cupboard are for sale

Lesley, Janine and Liz offer the best customer service in town, hands down. It is always such a delight to go in there. They are always so friendly and helpful.

Just some of the fat quarters

You can visit their blog here to see some of the quilt kits they have available.
